Photoshop Tips : Work area tips
|
|
When working with photoshop, the palettes or even the toolbar can sometimes be an annoying
element on the workspace. It would be a good idea to turn off or hide
certain palettes and the toolbar itself to maximize the workspace.
You dont really need to remove them completely. Only on certain occasions like when
you can't see the complete image you are working on or you when have the image magnified
and some sections are covered by the toolbar or palettes.
F5 - Hide/show the brushes palette and other palettes with it.
F6 - Hide/show the colors palette and other palettes with it.
F7 - Hide/show the layers palette and other palettes with it.
Tab key - Hides or shows the toolbar and all palettes.
What I usually do is a remove certain palettes that I dont use that much like
the swatches palette and combine the palettes I use alot. I have
the options, info, brushes palette combined together and
the layers, channels, paths and actions palette as one.
To combine certain palettes, simply drag the palette
from the palette title (indicated by the red circle) then drag
it to the palette you want to combine.
This can also free and create
new palette window by just moving a palette outside of its current palette.
